FSSAI registration is granted based on business type, turnover, and production capacity, with different categories like essential, central, and state licenses determined by these factors.

FSSAI Penalty and Offenses:

Documents Required

List of Directors/Partners/Proprietor/Member of Society/Trust with full addresses, contact details, and nomination of an authorized signatory.

Government-issued Photo ID and address proof of the proprietor/partner/director(s)/authorized signatory.

Proof of premises possession (e.g., sale deed, rent agreement, electricity bill).

Partnership deed or self-declaration (for proprietorship) or MOA & AOA of the company.

Water test report or NOC from a government authority or any other documents as requested by FSSAI.

Form-B (available on FSSAI website).

Documents for Registration Certificate: Photo, Government-issued Photo I.D such as AADHAAR, PAN, Voter ID, etc., and Proof of the business activity address (if different from the address on the Photo ID Card).

Procedure

• Login and access the registration portal
• Click on "License/Registration" in the left menu.
• Select "Apply for New License/Registration."
• Choose your state and review the provided note.
• Identify your business category under "Kind of Business."
• Select "Restaurant" under Food Services Business Group.
• Indicate your turnover and proceed with the application.
• Complete all mandatory fields in Form B.
• Provide accurate communication details (mobile number, email, etc.).
• Upload the required documents and make the payment using available methods.
• Upon payment completion, receive a receipt with a 17-digit reference number for future use.
